| ART4FREEDOM meaning: |
My ART4FREEDOM is about how people reacted when their safety and freedom was taken away. In the beginning of the pandemic, there were people who, when they heard that bats were responsible for the virus, like madmen, they began to kill them without control. Later, people began to attack or insult doctors for being sources of viruses or, at least, spreading them.
On both events, I felt a lack of conscience and responsibility on the part of those people, who attack other beings just for fear of congestion or revenge, and that totally goes against freedom and respect, I think. That made me reflect and want to illustrate something with irony on those two news topics. Of course, the character has a bat face but the suit is inspired by doctors, people who fight for our freedom and to protect us. I also wanted to make the virus very grotesque and disgusting but, for me, it also represents the obstinate mentality of those types of people, who ignorantly disrespect and harm others. IAM4FREEDOM! |
