Introduction: |
My art is a combination of traditional and digital. For traditional works, I tend to focus on telling a story based on my personal experiences. By searching through my emotions, I become capable of reaching down into my inner core which then transforms into a wave of inspiration. I use a wide range of mediums to keep my options open when deciding the perfect fit. Although my pieces may have a concrete narrative to them, the most important aspect I want viewers to take away is the feelings. Many of my works require to be looked at and examined for a decent amount of time to discover their true meaning. I love using symbols, although cliché, I believe it is an effective way to get your point across.
As for digital works, I mainly focus on appealing to the younger generations. I find it exhilarating to draw fan-favorite characters. It serves as a learning experience because I get to see what works and what does not, to discover the reasoning of why these characters are so loved depending on their development. I get the best of both worlds and I am always very open to trying new things such as techniques and approaches relating to art. |

ART4FREEDOM meaning: |
My ART4FREEDOM is about the freedom to be yourself.
During my first semester in college, I was given an assignment from my Drawing I Course. We were supposed to choose an object that was precious to us. Thus, I decided to use my Thespian jacket from high school to represent a meaningful value. I wanted it to portray a sense of comfort as well as freedom. Drama Club was the first group of people I came out to as trans-masculine. I was welcomed with an enormous amount of love. I could not be more grateful. I would regularly wear that jacket ever since I got it because it made me feel supported. It served as a symbol of freedom because I felt like I was part of a second family who always had my back and where I could be myself. I was able to break the shackles within myself and be free to reveal my true identity. IAM4FREEDOM! |
