| ART4FREEDOM meaning: |
My ART4FREEDOM is about how certain circumstances can entangle and imprison us.
The artwork started from my imagination, inspired by the theme of Freedom, with a simple drawing and added details as the illustration developed. It was process of meditation and relaxation that went on for many hours, and it took several days to complete. The illustration depicts the bird flying out of her nest, a symbol of independence and liberation. She is breaking free from the cords that hold her captive and has a sparkle in her eye, looking forward to the future. This is symbolic of our own liberation from the cords of fear and uncertainty that often hold us in place, being afraid of change. Fear can be the biggest threat for freedom. May we be brave, stand up and spread our wings. May we fly the sky in full freedom like birds and, once we have left our childhood nest, never again, let anyone tie us down. IAM4FREEDOM! |
